Beside is a mobile app (iOS and Android) that gives people grieving a loss a warm, patient AI companion to talk to, any time of day.

It remembers your name and the name of the person you lost, so you never have to explain yourself from scratch. It checks in on birthdays, anniversaries and other hard dates you choose. There are four tone modes: Just listen, Help me process, Distract me, and I'm not okay. After each conversation it saves a gentle journal entry, and crisis support is always one tap away.
